The Resolve: A Rendition

The Resolve - Rendition

A Rendition (I wish)

What's life?

Why do we live it?

What's it's purpose?

What's it's essence?

Why fight it?

Even while we lose most battles

We keep on fighting.

We are struck down by defeat,

Failure is always lurking

around the corner,

Waiting to grab us by our loins.

Most times we fight it off,

But still it keeps coming,

It finds it's way,

And latches itself to us

Sucking us of our will.

The worst of it, is

the blindness, the illusion,

When you think you are winning,

When you think you are in control,

And you let your guard down.

But Then, boom! The illusion,

It vanishes, and you find out

that it was all a lie,

A trick played on your mind

And that makes you feel like a sucker,

Then anger sets in, then there is confusion, Then chaos and darkness.

But out of this darkness,

There are some still fighting,

There are some still resisting,

There are some who have resolved

To never give up.

Amidst the chaos, the confusion,

They have resolved to keep fighting

They have resolved to keep on going

Yeah, the crazy ones.

That's what they're called.

Only the crazy ones still fight,

Only they still keep hoping,

Even when they don't see it,

Even when they don't understand why?

They just keep fighting,

They are Hopeful

They still believe

And they are still fighting

Well I guess faith is

for the crazy ones.

yeah! it's crazy right,

yeah! they are crazy

They're all mad.

Well they've realized the truth

Of what they gotta be,

They've realized that

They have to be out of their mind

And not in it, to keep believing

Cos only they can endure,

Only they can keep resisting,

Even when there isn't a reason to,

Only they have the courage.

the courage to face

the overwhelming forces.

Only the mad ones can wait,

Only the mad ones can fight

For the light.

Only they have any hope

Of seeing the morning!

Cos though it is dark now,

The light will surely shine.

In-forming lives, transforming minds
